YEH Championships will be composed of three sections:
- Conformation and Type: 10%
- Dressage Test: 20%
- Jumping Test/Gallop: 70%
Qualifications
Qualified horses will be allowed to participate in one championship only.
Horses must earn one score of 75% or higher at one qualifier for the East Coast Championships.
Horses must earn one score of 70% or higher at one qualifier for the West Coast Championships.
Entry Process
WEST: All entries must be received before closing date on October 10, 2023. Event management reserves the right to deny entries sent after closing date.
EAST: Closing date will be on September 19, but horses may obtain qualifications until October 9, 2023. Event management will accept up to 40 horses in the 4-year-old division, and 55 horses in the 5-year-old division. The event management will accept entries based on the order they are received, whether the entry has obtained qualifications or not. Shall the entry not receive qualifications by October 9, their entry will be removed and fully refunded. The open spots will be filled from the wait list, in order of highest qualifying scores.
For age verification at the USEA YEH Championships, entries must supply the following paperwork to the secretary: Registration Papers, Certificate of Pedigree, passport issued by a breed or sport horse registry approved by the Federation, or horse identification documents issued by a breed or sport registry approved by the Federation that states the registered name of the horse, the registry number of the horse and age.
Any entrant in the Championship without registration papers must be microchipped and may be asked to provide a signed veterinary statement identifying the horse by distinguishing markings and microchip number, and a written statement as to age at the time of the competition (no sooner than 30 days prior to the competition).
