The USEA Area III Young Rider Program is currently accepting resumes/bids for the 2018-2020 competition years for Young Rider Summer Camp Trainers and North American Junior Championship (NAJC) and CICOY Nations Cup Coach. Job descriptions, terms, resume requirements for both positions are listed below. Final selection of these positions will be determined by approval from the Area III Council based on the recommendation from the hiring committee. The hiring committee consists of Judy Lewis, past Young Rider Coordinator and current Area III Treasurer, Bonnie Parrish, Area III Young Rider parent, and Sharon Gardner Nel, Area III Adult Rider. Description and Terms of Young Rider Summer Camp Trainer Position
One of the most important programs of Area III Young Riders is our Annual Summer Camp. This year, Summer Camp will be held at Chattahoochee Hills the week of June 17-21, 2018.
Responsibilities of the Area III Summer Camp Trainer Position are to observe and work with each camper for the mentioned week through flat and jumping exercises. We conduct one private lesson with each camper, but the majority of the lessons will be in a group setting. Riders ride twice daily for two days with a flat lesson in the morning and a jumping lesson in the afternoon. On the first day of camp, we usually have a private dressage lesson and then a group cross-country lesson is held on the final day. Trainer agrees he/she will also be available during dinner each night of camp for group activities with campers.
This position is for a three-year term subject to annual reviews by the initial Young Rider hiring committee and approval from the Area III Council.

Description and Terms of NAJC/CICOY Coach Position
North American Junior Championships (NAJC) and CICOY Nations Cup will be held at Rebecca Farm July 18-22, 2018. USEA Area Young Riders Coaches must be ICP Certified Level II for the one-star and ICP level III for the two-star. Qualifications for the position include: substantial coaching experience, excellent interpersonal skills (must be able to communicate with parents and young riders alike during some trying times) and have ridden at the CCI3* level. Not every candidate may meet all of these conditions, and the credentials of each candidate will be weighed.
