Arrowhead Horse Trials Has Rescheduled To July 16-17

By Arrowhead Horse Trials - Press Release | May 23, 2011

In response to sustained concerns about the Equine Herpes virus (EHV-1) outbreak, the Arrowhead Organizing Committee has decided to reschedule the horse trials to July 16-17, 2011. We will also hold a BN-A Combined Test on July 16th. This is the weekend before the Event at Rebecca Farms, and we thought some participants coming from afar may want to put the two trips to Montana together. This decision was made after much discussion with the Montana Department of Livestock, Dr. Marty Zaluski, our state veterinarian, and many other respected veterinarians. Although the risk of transmission is getting lower by the day, we did not want to put any horses at unneeded risk. If we are going to rid the region of the disease, we should all probably keep our horses at home.

We are offering full certificates, to those who have entered and completely paid for their entry to Arrowhead Horse Trials, that can be used towards our 2011 HT now postponed to July or our 2012 Horse trial (dates to be announced). If you are unable to make either of those future dates we are able to refund your full stabling ($100) your USEA fees and one half your entry fees. Unfortunately, we still have indebtedness to our officials and others. You may contact our show secretary, Dawn Bunge (dlbunge1@msn.com), for transfer of entries, and Stacy Dietz (stacydietz@q.com) for general questions.
