Only eight horses of the 35 who show jumped today were clear in the $75,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase. With the rails flying the standings jumbled quite a bit and Boyd Martin and Blackfoot Mystery have moved into the lead.
Owned by the Blackfoot Mystery syndicate, the 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding moved up from third after both Allison Springer with Arthur and Buck Davidson with BallynoeCastle RM dropped a rail apiece.
Now sitting in second is Colleen Rutledge who jumped clear aboard both of her mounts, Covert Rights and Escot 6. Rounding out the top three is New Zealander, Daniel Jocelyn, who is catch-riding Sable Giesler’s Devil Munchkin.
Cross-country is set to start at 1:00 p.m. You can watch the live feed here and follow the live scores here.
