The Copper Meadows Horse Trials scheduled for March 13-15, 2020 in Ramona, California has been canceled due to heavy rainfall.
Originally scheduled to run over three days, organizer Taren Hoffos first shortened the event to run over two days with a modified schedule before being forced to cancel due to concerns over the footing.
"Well, it's with a sad heart that I let you all know that we have officially cancelled the show for this weekend," Hoffos said in a statement on the Area VI Facebook page. "The rains are just too much for us to overcome. I'd like to thank all of the volunteers from the depths of my soul for signing up and for being willing to come out and help us rain or shine. There's no one out there that is as lucky as I am to have the generous volunteers of Copper Meadows! I'm so very grateful to each and every one of you for the changes that you adapt to and your 'CAN DO' attitude!"
