Employment Opportunity: USEA Marketing Assistant (or) Coordinator

The United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) is currently searching for qualified applicants for the position of Marketing Assistant OR Coordinator (depending on experience) at the Association’s headquarters in Leesburg, Virginia. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and experience with eventing and equestrian sport is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with graphic design will also be viewed favorably. Due to the relatively small staff size of the Association, this position requires a team player who is willing to pitch in with a variety of tasks as necessary, and be able to travel on assignment to several USEA events around the country.

The Marketing Assistant or Coordinator will be asked to work on a number of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans for each program, in coordination with the Director of Programs and Marketing
  • Implement local, regional and national marketing plans for the Association
  • Conduct fulfillment of all marketing plans, including:
    • promoting the USEA programs through all media platforms
    • creating marketing/promotional materials
    • conducting interviews and writing articles related to USEA programs
  • Travel and attend various events to help with media coverage and promotion of those events and USEA programs
  • Participate on USEA Committee conference calls and take minutes of meetings

This is a full-time position eligible for health, and 401k benefits. Salary and position title will be commensurate with experience.
