The Maryland International and Horse Trials will run from July 7-9, 2023, at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Maryland. The Maryland International is one of only a few equestrian events of this caliber in the area. A range of divisions are offered from Training level through Advanced as well as FEI levels: CCI1*-S, ,2*-S, 3*-S, and 4*-S.
The four-star and Advanced levels are new additions to the event. These two levels have brand new tracks, cross country jumps and added features such as a bank complex, coffin, and pass-through. It will be an exciting competition, because world renowned five-star course designer Ian Stark has designed the courses for all levels.
The crew at Loch Moy Farm is watering the course in the months leading up to the event to create the best footing for the horses to gallop on and it will also be aggravated.
Not only will the horses and riders get the very best conditions to ride in, but spectators will also have the best opportunities to watch the competition. General admission is free, and a shuttle service from general admission parking will be provided. VIP passes are available that will give spectators exclusive access to all three days of the event.
VIP passes include:
- Entrance to the VIP Hospitality Tent allowing premium viewing of dressage, cross country and show jumping
- Cross country course walk with world renowned 5* course designer Ian Stark (on Friday after dressage)
- “Brunch on the Berm” including brunch and drinks while watching cross-country (Saturday)
