TGIF! This weekend is calling for blue skies, but freezing temperatures in my neck of the woods – I think a final late-autumn trail ride might be in order. What are you doing this weekend? Shoveling snow in New York? Soaking up the sun in Florida? Giving your horse his second (or third…) clip of the season? Shaking the hibernating stinkbugs out of your heavy winter blankets? Planning your 2011 season?
Happy tidbits (virtual stocking stuffers?)
Three Days Three Ways is offering a Thelwell pony look-alike contest! Love this idea…
What can make riding in the windy/icy/snowy/numbing weather bearable this winter? Fleece-lined chaps! Gimme!
Up for a challenge? Wild mustangs are available for adoption in Kentucky.
War Horse, the popular theater production in London, offers a helping hand to equine charities. Has anyone seen War Horse? Looks pretty amazing.
Dressage4Kids, Inc. had a successful inaugural Young Sport Horse breeders clinic where they learned about safe handling tactics at shows and inspections, what the judges looked for, and how to analyze a horse’s conformation. What a great idea – hope these kids had a fun time, and maybe we’ll see them participating in Future Event Horse classes!
