Feather Creek Farm Horse Trials in Norman, Oklahoma announced that the event set to run June 7-9, 2019 will now run August 9-11 due to heavy rainfall in the area.

"With the course the way it is right now, we would not be able to get any emergency vehicles to the back of the property," organizer Dynah Korhummel said in a statement on the Feather Creek Farm Facebook page last week. "And because of the rain, we can’t utilize the cross-country course the way it is. So, we needed to significantly change the course, in order to work around the areas that are underwater. And, at this point, we aren’t able to get any equipment onto the course for those changes."

"I know it’s going to be hot for the date change to August 9-11, but the dates I’m asking for leaves us a significant amount of time for the course to dry out as well as giving an opportunity to riders to have a qualifying round for the AEC, since the final weekend for qualifying is August 17-18," the statement continued. "We will definitely be looking at scheduling the times for the horses in the most heat efficient way possible. A potential schedule would be to have dressage the night of the 9th, have stadium start as early as possible on Saturday, [or] running stadium in the evening."

"I am overwhelmed by everyone’s support and understanding of the postponement, and everything that goes along with it! Thank you so very much!"
