Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation Signs On as 2019 USEA AEC Sponsor

By Hannah Seagle - USEA Staff | Jul 12, 2019

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, a leading non-profit organization that is committed to the understanding and advancement of all horses. The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation has shown great support this year as a Bronze Level Sponsor of the 2019 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC), which will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, August 27-September 1.

“Grayson is committed to supporting equine wellness in all horses, and we are proud to sponsor the American Eventing Championships, a horse show that attracts equine competitors spanning multiple breeds,” said Dell Hancock, chairman of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. “Grayson-funded research has improved the lives of horses that compete in a range of disciplines, and we are excited to partner with the eventing community.”

The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation has always been devoted to the progression of equine research. Since its foundation in 1940, Grayson-Jockey Club has helped advise various equine research specialties and protocols seen in our industry today. The Foundation has endorsed health recommendations for equine industry protocols, uncovered solutions to critical diseases, and found clues to numerous resolutions of equine health issues.

“We are very excited to welcome this new partnership with the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation,” said USEA CEO Rob Burk. “We can’t thank them enough on what they do for the equine industry. This is a foundation every eventer should stand behind. Like the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, at the USEA we have taken seriously the need to support equine health research. One dollar is donated to equine health research from every starter at recognized eventing competitions. We hope that other equestrian sports organizations will follow our leads.”
