Plymouth, MA - The ColiCare colic surgery reimbursement program just got even better! SmartPak announces it has taken another step in helping to keep horses of all ages healthy by removing the upper age limit on the ColiCare eligibility requirements.

New for 2014, the removal of the upper age limit means that senior horses over the age of 25 are no longer excluded from ColiCare. The ColiCare program now offers the same great benefits, including up to $7,500 of colic surgery reimbursement coverage, for life!

Horses enrolled in the ColiCare program are required to participate in a veterinarian-directed wellness program. These program requirements include annual vaccinations administered by a veterinarian, annual physical and dental exams performed by a veterinarian, and a veterinarian-directed deworming program that includes at least one fecal test and two deworming administrations per year.

To be eligible for ColiCare, the horse must be at least 5 months old and weaned, reside in the U.S., and may not have had previous colic surgery, a history of chronic colic, or an incidence of colic in the past twelve months.
