We are pleased to announce the return of the Waredaca Classic Road to the Three-Day Challenge for 2021!

The Waredaca Classic Three-Day is fortunate to be supported by a group of organizers in Area II who believe firmly in the importance of the Classic Format of eventing. These organizers in coordination with Waredaca have put together a Waredaca Classic Road to the Three-Day Challenge. The Road to the Three-Day is paved with preparation, and these six events offer an ideal path to success at the Waredaca Classic Three-Day:

The Middleburg Horse Trials – June 5-6, 2021

Horse Park of New Jersey Horse Trials - July 23-25, 2021

Waredaca Horse Trials - August 14-15, 2021

Seneca Valley Pony Club Horse Trials – August 28-29, 2021

Old Tavern Horse Trials - September 25-26, 2021

Morven Park Horse Trials - October 6-10, 2021

Mark your competition calendars now and plan to join Waredaca’s Challenge by participating in these events!

To be eligible for the Challenge*, competitors must complete a minimum of three of the six events in addition to the Waredaca Classic Three-Day on October 21-24, 2021. Points will be awarded according to placing: first place worth ten (10) points, second worth eight (8), third place worth seven (7), fourth place worth six (6), fifth place worth five (5), and sixth place worth four (4). Completion of an event (i.e., placing 7^th place or lower and finishing with a numerical score) will be awarded three (3) points. Points for the Three-Day will be doubled in value.

The winner at each level of the Road to the Three-Day Challenge will be awarded a halter, generously donated by RideSafe and Davis Equine, and free entry to all six participating events in 2022 (over a $1000 value!).

*The USEA has Classic Series qualifications for each level offered in the series. Completion of the Road to the Three-Day Challenge does not, by default, qualify you for the Classic. Qualification requirements for the Waredaca Classic Three-Day can be found on the Waredaca Classic Three-Day website.

About the USEA Classic Series
The USEA Classic Series keeps the spirit of the classic long ­format three­-day events alive for Beginner Novice through the Preliminary levels. Competitors can experience the rush of endurance day, including roads and tracks, steeplechase, the vet box, and cross­-country, as well as participate in formal veterinary inspections and educational activities with experts on the ins and outs of competing in a long ­format three-­day event. Riders who compete in a USEA Classic Series event during the year will have the chance to win a variety of prizes at the events from USEA sponsors.
